I can be a bit random. And, sometimes the writing bug hits. When it does, it goes here, on this blog.
I hate to admit it but I think it would depend on what is around it. I think I prefer not knowing so that I can take a risk or walk by faith.
I tend to agree. Something good? I'm all over that. Bring it on.Suffering? Heartache? Disappointment? I'm not so sure. And, that makes what Jesus did even more astounding -- He could see around the bend, and He went anyway.:)
The evening the elbow broke...I learned how to kick turn a skateboard. I learned that I could balance on two wheels (one axle).I experienced the real joy of "Hey, I can do this..."Then, in the simple act of stopping and getting off, I busted my arm. If I knew about the pain to follow, sure, I would have stayed off. If I knew a church would split in five years, I would never be involved in forming it. If I knew the band would choose to use a different guitar guy in three years, I would probably have never played. If I knew all the pain in life, I would be afraid to live at all.Don't be afraid of the bend. If we fear the pain, we'll never enjoy the living.
