1/112

No chocolate for me today (well, yesterday, since I didn't post).

Also did an initial weigh-in, and thar ain't no way I'ma postin' that in public!

Since lowering my cholesterol is one of the mandatory goals, I'm also putting serious restriction on how much red meat I eat. The cows are happy.

I heard dark chocolate has some redeeming value Karma but I don't want to be the one who tempts you. As for the red meat restriction: eat more chikin'. Shhh don't tell Steve.

I do wish you the best.

Yes, dark chocolate is intrinsically healthier, but for me I have to go cold turkey or I don't go at all. :)

I've been cutting back on the sugar as well. I loooooove chocolate, but I am able to control myself quite well now. I just realized that once I run out, if I don't buy any, I can't eat it. And if I want something sweet, I eat yogurt or fruit smoothies. And ya know, I eat oatmeal almost every morning. It's a good cholesterol-reducer. You might want to give it a try if you don't already.

Oatmeal is VERY good for lowering cholesterol. Unfortunately, I hate, loathe, detest oatmeal. :(

The yogurt idea is a good one -- will have to remember that.

Thanks for posting!

There are many ways to "cover over" the taste or lack of taste of oatmeal...cinnamon is my favorite at the present time...Just can't load up with the sugar...
